The head of the Popular Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Sunny Onuesoke, urged the youth wing of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), also known as Ighele R ‘Urhobo, to refrain from heating up politics for their zeal for occupying stalls.
Onuesoke made the statement when Ughelli North PDP Ward Women Leaders paid her a courtesy call at the Good Governance Network office in Warri, Delta state.
According to the former candidate for the governor of the state of Delta, he has realized that the youth wing of the UPU was involved in a leadership crisis with accusations of corruption, which is becoming a source of concern for the nation Urhobo.
He noted that if youth cannot behave, be disciplined, he wondered how they would expect the elders to entrust them with leadership positions.
Advising the UPU youth wings to act and create peace in their fold, Onuesoke urged them to emulate the youth wings of other tribes and behave.
On the corruption allegations, the PDP chief urged them to avoid grafting, and advised UPU youth leaders to rise to the occasion by accusing their leader of the corruption allegations.
Speaking earlier, Ughelli North PDP Neighborhood Women Leader Leader, Miss Eyaunu Eseoghene Mercy, expressed her appreciation to Onuesoke for the role she has been playing in the development and unification of the people of Urhobo.
He assured the unconditional PDP that his group is firmly behind him in his development and unity of unity of the Urhobo nation in particular and of the Delta State in general.
