There is still no decision on the adoption of the party: Atiku
• National President of ADC repudiates Ada
• He says that the coalition platform can be presented this week
The controversy is following the application of the Democratic Alliance (ADA) to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for registration as a political party. It is believed that the association is being promoted by the National Coalition Group of Nigeria (NNCG).
In a letter dated June 19, the proposed party declared that it accompanied the application with the Constitution, logo and minutes of the promoters as part of the INEC conditions for the registration of the party.
But former vice president Atiku Abubakar repudiated reports that he and other leaders in the NNCG had adopted Ada as the new platform to challenge President Bola Tinubu of the Congress of all progressives (APC) in their re -election offer in the 2027 elections.
Atiku's special assistant about the digital media strategy, Delala Olarenwaju, explained that there were still ongoing consultations by NNCG leaders, therefore, no decision on the possible adoption of ADA has been completed.
Oarenwaju wrote in X: “A group is in the process of pursuing the registration of the party, just like any other Nigerian, but they need to coordinate this with the coalition. ADA has not been adopted by the coalition, and when it is the right time, the public will be informed about the appropriate elections and decisions. Only patient with that.”
Similarly, the national president of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu, described the birth of Ada as false, claiming that the issue of the platform to adopt the coalition has been resolved a long time ago. He said that the formal presentation of the platform would be made this week, depending on the decision taken by all interested parties involved in the coalition.
He accused a fifth columnist of enjoying the falsehood and propaganda about the intention of the coalition to form a wide -based formidable platform.
“What does the entire alliance of the Democrats mean? You can see that it is false! The coalition has already complied with what they want to do. But the agents of the dark will continue with their misinformation to create some confusion,” he said.
OKEY NWOSU asked the Nigerians who distrust the pranks of those dark forces committed to frustrating the determination of the coalition of opposition elements to generate a new view before the next elections.
He emphasized: “The coalition has long decided what they want to do and within this week, the Nigerian nation will be revealed. There is no new party that is formed. The coalition has already decided what they want to do. It is only a non -intelligent group and agents of the darkness that the entire democratic alliance can take.
“The concept is incorrect, both in etymology and in different ways. Therefore, there is no person who is not a government agent or dark agent who is part of the people who spread that falsehood.
“The national president of ADC said categorically: I have told you that Ada does not exist; it is false; he is being spread by government agents and agents of evil. The coalition has already selected their party and that they are moving forward with that. If some people plan to register a party, they can move on, but they must stop using the name of the toilet that many people have been difficult to spread at this time,” he said.
“The commission should have more than 200 applications of this type. Therefore, bringing propaganda and erroneous information causes the perpetrators of this aspect to look small and anti-people. Therefore, they can go and stand in that tail and when the INEC reaches that number, perhaps 2035, they would consider their own record.
“We have approved that stage. No opposition can afford to invest its time and other resources to embark on a wild goose. The coalition has already decided and extended the voice to the levels of the local government and the Chamber. A great mobilization is already in progress. The coalition has been formed. Despite all the effects, the ADC is the true party for the coalition,” said the president of ADC.
According to Friday's reports, the NNCG formally requested INEC the Ada registration. The letter sought by the INEC registration was signed by the National Protem President of the Association, Chief Akin A. Rickets and the National Secretary Protem, Abdullahi Elayo.
The letter said:
“We respectfully write to the Independent National Electoral Commission, requesting the registration of our association, the Alliance Alliance, as a political party. This is a sequel to the decision made by the National Nigeria coalition group to sponsor our association for the complete record. The name of the party will be the entire democratic alliance with Ada as our acronym and” judge for all “like our slogan.”
The coalition also presented relevant documents, among them, the constitution of the proposed part, the manifesto, the logo and the minutes of its fundamental meetings.
The letter explained that the symbol of a corn represents abundance, resistance and livelihood, the ideals they expect to promote.
