This was revealed as part of the resolutions achieved at the end of a meeting held by the group on Sunday in Abuja.

In a statement by the president of the group, Babachir Lawal, NPCG expressed a deep concern about “the security situation that worsens, which has aggravated poverty, loss of lives and property, unemployment and destitution throughout the northern region.

“The group was founded to join North political leaders, forge solid relationships and work as a united interest group, preferably within a framework of political parties.

“The delegates recognized that insecurity has reached unprecedented levels under the current administration, worsening poverty, hunger, homelessness and causing a close collapse of education at primary and secondary levels.

“The delegates agreed that the three main drivers of any society are fear, emotions and knowledge, and resolved that the north should not be driven by fear or emotions, but by knowledge.

“They resolved that the north must proceed with a united front in their political elections to ensure that the region obtains the maximum benefits of national political participation.

“They urged the immediate presentation of the political platform through which the interests of the region will be pursued.

“The group agreed to extend their initiatives to the 19 northern states and the FCT through the provision of an appropriate operational template.

“He resolved that the region must prioritize and promote industrialization and high productivity in all sectors to escape the current economic crisis. He stressed that building a united northern should involve addressing issues of equity, equity and justice, both within and between the states.

Those present at the meeting included former vice president, Atiku Abubakar; former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Former Transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi; The presidential candidate of Labor Party 2023, Peter Obi, and former Interior Minister, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who sent a representative.

Meanwhile, LP remains divided on the participation of Peter Obi in the coalition, since the national president of the party, Julius Abure, said that OBI lacks the authority to negotiate any type of coalition or candidate to challenge Tinubu on behalf of the party.

The National Secretary of Advertising of the LP faction, Obiora IFOH, in a statement, said: “We have constantly said that the Labor Party will not enter any coalition or fusion of any kind before the general elections of 2027.

“Therefore, the continuous association of OBI with the coalition is not only unpleasant but unacceptable for the party. It is also an affront for the leadership of the party, and we see its position as a total contempt for the right of the party to make decisions regarding their affairs.

However, the National Caregivers Committee of the LP, led by Senator Nenadi Usman, said that OBI's participation in the coalition has the support of the party.

Ken Eluma Asogwa, a special media advisor for Senator USMAN, said: “The attention of the leadership of the Labor Party has attracted the reports that circulate in some sections of the media that suggest that certain former members of our party, led by the suspended president, Mr. Julius Abure OBI, in the current coalition movement, the Movement of Swimming Swimming of the Nalgas of the Nalgas of the Natifier of the Swimming of the Failure of the Nalitions.

“To be clear, the National Caregroads Committee of the Labor Party, under the leadership capable of Senator Nenadi Usman, expressly approved and supported Peter Obi's participation in the ongoing patriotic convergence of the well -intentioned Nigerians committed to dismantling the administration of Tinubu without German.

“It is worth reiterating that OBI has constantly maintained that his interest is only in a coalition focused on eradicating hunger, insecurity and poor governance, a vision that is directly aligned with the founding principles and the aspirations of the Labor Party.”
