… Discard the VP slot agreement with ATIKU
The former presidential candidate of the Labor Party in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, urged the northern elites and the average electorate of the region to trust him with his votes in 2027.
He promised to protect his interest in Nigeria if he elected president.
The LP candidate made the plea on Sunday night while talking in a monitored television program of live channels, Politics Today.
OBI said that Nigerians should vote for candidates based on their individual capacity, where they come from.
He said: “I want the North to trust me. The greatest asset in this country is the north. Look at the dough of land. If I am president, the north will hug me.”
Obi, who dropped the clue that he would compete for the presidency of 2027 under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) dismissed a report of an agreement to match with the former presidential candidate of the Popular Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, as the latter's career.
“I'm going to dispute Nigeria's presidency. I am a member of the ADC, but no one has argued with me to be vice president. I don't know where that comes from. You assume journalists,” Obi said.
He was asked to respond to the criticisms that follow his romance with the ADC, which is believed to be populated by those perceived who have directed the nation in the past, the former governor of the state of Anambra declared that the contributions of all are necessary to redeem Nigeria.
“You need everyone. Your work as a leader is to change everyone because we all want good government. It is not for me to say that one is bad, this is good.
“In fact, you need those who have been in a bad government! His individual experiences are critical because they know what they can fail in the system, so you need everyone,” Obi said.
