The coalition of youth leaders of Southeast (COSEYL), the main group of socio -political young people in the geopolitical area of Southeast, has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the re -election of President Bola Tinubu.
In response to the recent comments made by Senator Ali Ndume regarding political backups and electoral results, Coseyl declared this in a statement from its president, Comrade Goodluck Ibem.
The youth organization emphasized that it does not depend solely on the political backups of the party's structures or the elected officials.
Although he acknowledged that the endorsements of the political elites have influenced the past elections, Coseyl said that they believe that the true electoral victory falls to the Nigerian people.
He said: “On the other hand, we are building a mass movement that will mobilize millions of daily Nigerians (workers, young people, market women, professionals, artisans and community leaders) who believe in the vision, policies and leadership of President Tinubu.”
According to them, their objective is simple: ensure the support of people, not only politicians who add that this support system will not end in verbal endorsements; It will translate into votes in the surveys.
He said: “We trust that through the basic commitment, the education of robust voters and a clear demonstration of the president's achievements, the Nigerians will once again trust President Tinubu to bring the country to greater heights.”
Coseyl said they respect all perspectives and recognize the electoral realities of the past.
They said that 2027 will not be decided only with political calculations, but by the force of the connection between the president and the Nigerian people who add that they are already building that connection every day.
