Owen Hargreaves, who used to play for Manchester United, thinks Erik ten Hag’s team can win the UEFA Europa League this year.
Hargreaves, a former England player, says Manchester United can win a trophy this season. They didn’t do very well in the Champions League and Premier League last season.
This year’s Europa League starts on Wednesday.
Manchester United will play against Twente at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Hargreaves told Metro UK, “When you’re in the Champions League and not as good as the other teams, you get caught out quickly.”
“Last year was disappointing because of the problems Manchester United had in the Champions League. But I think they have a good chance of winning the Europa League because of their strong team, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they did it,” Hargreaves said.
“Right now, I think Manchester United is in a good position to win the Europa League.”
