The main office of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja has received a court order. This order says that PDP cannot hold their meetings in Nasarawa State for now.
The order was given after 16 members of PDP, led by Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, asked the court. Senator Onawo represents Nasarawa South in the Nigerian Senate. They were not happy with something and took the matter to court.
A judge at the Nasarawa State High Court in Doma, Judge Abdullahi Hassan Shams Shama, agreed with them. The judge ruled that PDP cannot have their meetings in Nasarawa State for some time.
The judge also allowed the 16 members to inform PDP in a different way, called substituted service, and scheduled the case to continue on October 3, 2024.
This case involves other important people like Senator Suleiman Asonya Adokwe, Michael Abdul, Nuhu Angbazo, Musa Elayo, Abdulkarim Usman Ombamas, and other PDP members from Nasarawa State.
