A girl lawyer and a member of the United Nations World Alliance for Youth, Giwa Farzaana, launched on Friday his school dissemination program aimed at raising awareness about several problems that affect the girl.
The dissemination program, with the theme “No girl should be left behind,” he points to the challenges facing adolescents from the perspective of a teenager. Each beneficiary of the dissemination received a sanitary kit box containing sanitary pads, deodorant, a razor kit, toothpaste, a toothbrush, silk paper and bathroom soap.
Speaking at the beginning of the school unit, Farzaana said that she intended to reach the initial 1,500 girls throughout the state and in different schools, particularly in rural areas where access to female health products is a struggle for many disadvantaged girls.
She appealed to the government to establish inclusive programs where adolescents, which are going through significant changes, can receive greater support.
He also emphasized that such inclusive programs should involve real adolescents who can share their truths and realities lived.
The lawyer of girls and boys also asked private companies and non -governmental organizations that create more opportunities with which adolescents can participate.
“There are many things we can do, but when he is a teenager, I have discovered that people speak for us without having our current needs. The needs of a teenager today are different from what it was several years ago when our parents were teenagers. As such, when they try to support us, they do it from a perspective that has now changed.

“Women are much more involved today and the teenage stage is a critical turning point. I imagine that I cannot obtain the appropriate sanitary pad said.
In addition to the school campaign, he said that there would also be a street unit aimed at reaching girls who are not enrolled in schools.
“The Street Drive will include markets, which begin from the iPata market and extend to Oja Oba and the Mercado de Ag an Ilorin, the state capital.”
The Vice -Directors of Administration, Student Affairs and Special Tasks, among other school staff members attended the event.
The Vice President of Student Affairs, Mrs. A. Mustapha, thanked the Ombudsman for their initiative, expressing the hope that the program will inspire many of the beneficiaries who received the kits and sanitary boxes.
When asked what his last dream is, Farzaana said: “It's simple and direct, no girl is left. I intend to continue pressing and move on while there are girls who can still benefit.”
Farzaana, who is also a Taekwondo Blue Belt athlete, added: “It is the same with the Safe Girl initiative, where I encourage girls to obtain basic techniques of self -defense. I will continue forward while there is a girl who can benefit from her.”
Farzaana, 15, is a student of Cheaste International Secondary School, Ilorin, and has been involved in previous units.
