The nominee for the position of executive director of the recently established Central Development Commission of the North (NCDC), Hajia Bilqis Jumoke Sanni, has expressed his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his nomination.
In a statement made available to journalists on Sunday, Hajia Sanni described the gesture as an important milestone in his life -duty life and base development life.
She said that the nomination is a “deeply humble honor”, while also promised its commitment to the principles of responsibility, inclusion and provision of effective services.
“I humbly express my deep gratitude to his excellence, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to find me worthy of nomination as Executive Director of the Central Development Commission of North (NCDC). This honor is a significant milestone in my commitment to for life with public service and base development,” he said.
Hajia Sanni also extended his thanks to the leadership of the Senate, particularly to the president of the tenth National Assembly, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for the confidence shown in his candidacy during the confirmation process.
“I am grateful to the Senate for his unwavering dedication to good governance, which continues to inspire and affirm our democratic ideals,” he added.
He praised Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of the state of Kwara for his progressive leadership and for defending female inclusion in government.
“The visionary leadership of Governor Abdulrazaq has opened doors for many women, and I remain in debt with him for his support and encouragement,” he said.
Recognizing the support of the attached leader and senator of the Senate that represents the senatorial district of Kwara South, Arc. Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, Hajia Sanni praised her belief in her ability to contribute to national and regional development.
“The important efforts and commitment of Senator Ashiru with the development of human capital have not gone unnoticed. His belief in my abilities has played an important role in this trip,” he said.
He also appreciated the leadership and members of the Congress of all progressives (APC) to promote the inclusion, equity and empowerment of women and technocrats.
