The Global Bank of Africa, United Bank for Africa (UBA) PLC, has reaffirmed its leadership position in promoting economic growth and empowerment, since it won four main awards in the Ambassador's Ambassador Ambassador of the 2025 Development Service (DBN), which were held during the weekend in Lagos.
The prestigious awards recognize financial institutions that promote shocking support for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in Nigeria, and UBA emerged as a better performance, reaching the following categories:
DMB with the greatest impact on the MSME in Nigeria; DMB with the greatest impact on Mipyme women; PFI with the greatest impact on the center-northern area; and the prestigious Ambassador prize of the platinum service, the highest prize of the night.
A Bank statement indicated that these praise underline the unwavering commitment of UBA to empower companies, advance financial inclusion and support women entrepreneurs and communities unattended throughout Nigeria.
The recognition of UBA in the awards even more solidifies its position as a leading force in the financial sector of Nigeria, reinforcing its mission of training small and medium enterprises and companies, and communities through innovative banking solutions.
The Deputy Director Manager of UBA, Mr. Muyiwa Akinyemi, who received the Ambassador of the Platinum Service on behalf of the Bank, said his delight, stating; “We are deeply honored to be recognized by the Nigeria Development Bank for our efforts to boost sustainable growth and empowerment for MSME, particularly companies and companies led by women in Nigeria.
