Investors obtained N1.90 billion in the exchange of NASD OTC last week, since the index of all NASD shared and market capitalization increased 1.86 percent to close to 3,248.00 valued in N1.90 billion, compared to 3,188.76 valued in N1.87 Trillones recorded in the preceding week, respectively.

According to NASD's commercial report in the week that ended on Friday, May 30, negotiation in the oil and gas sector, dominated transactions in the OTC exchange, which represents 81.37 percent of the total negotiation in the revision period.

Leading the activity chat, 506.19 million shares valued at N4.18 billion hands exchanged with oil and gas in 21 agreements, followed in the second place distant by the consumer goods sector, where 15.77 million shares were marketed worth N638.94 million in 48 agreements.

Market observers attributed the upward trend to the growing confidence of investors, promoted by the Federal Government of Federal Government and relative economic stability.

The decision of the Central Bank of Nigeria to retain the monetary policy rate by 27.5 percent also contributed to the positive feeling.

Specifically, the MPC cited inflation moderation, particularly food inflation and currency market stability as reasons for the decision.

The NASD report also indicates that a total of 551.01 million shares worth N5.14 billion were negotiated in 133 agreements, which represents a significant increase of the previous week.

Air Liquide PLC and Friesland Campina Wamco Nigeria were among the values ​​that are negotiated.
