A journalist, Mr. Musliudeen Adebayo, has asked the Commission of Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC), to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Commission of Public Complaints that intervene and prevent the Nirsal microfinance bank from doing more deductions from its account.

Adebayo, a Daily Post journalist, made this request in a request on the increase in Nirsal loans aimed at the three agencies, a copy of which he shared with journalists on Friday.

In the petition, entitled “Petition against Nirsal Microfinance Bank for a sudden increase in my loan payable,” Adebayo urged agencies to prevent the bank from deducting money to any of its accounts.

He explained that in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, a subsidy was promised, but then discovered that the sum of a hundred eighty thousand naira that he received was actually a loan.

Adebayo declared that both the main loan and the interest of 15 percent have paid both. However, he expressed his regret that the bank now demands an additional 15 percent of it after completing these payments.

Adebayo also pointed out that when he approached a branch of Nirsal Microfinance Bank in Dugbe to close his account, the bank insisted that he would still have to pay the additional 15 percent.

He took this opportunity to appeal to EFCC, CBN and PCC to ensure that no more deductions from his account are made.

“I have exhausted all the necessary roads to solve this matter in a friendly way, but the manager and staff of the Nirsal Microfinance Bank in Dugbe Ibadan still insist that they will still deduce money from my account after having paid the main loan and the interest of 15 percent and that I do not have other options that write this request to the three agencies and that has paid all the journalists for all the members of the public that do not Options to write this request to the three agencies and that makes it available for journalists for all public members of the public members who do not have other options that do not have to write this request to the three agencies and that is available for journalists for all members of the public members that I do not have other options that I do not have other options that to write this request to the three agencies and make them available for journalists for all members of the public that I do not This request to the three agencies and make them available for journalists for all public members of the public namely.
