The governor of Kaduna, Uba Sani, said that the murderers of Citizens of the State in the local government of Mangu de Plateau must be taken before justice.
In a statement that personally signed on Saturday, he said: “We received with a deep clash and sadness news about the murder of 12 citizens of the state of Kaduna in the problematic mangun district of the local government of Mangu, Plateau. Another 11 suffered several degrees of injuries.

“Innocent travelers knew their deaths while traveling to the local government of Quan Plateau state for a wedding ceremony.
“We condemn these acts of savagery in the strongest terms. Criminals must be fish and treated accordingly.
“We make security agencies leave stone without removing until these criminal elements are hunted and taken before justice. We must stop the nefarious activities of non -state actors. There is no justification for anyone to attack any citizen of Nigeria in any part of the country. This madness must stop. Sufficient.
“I also ask the Governor of the State of Plateau, his excellence, BarrÃster Caleb Mutfwang to use this unfortunate incident to make a bold statement. He must take care of the situation and direct the operations of the security agencies until the murderers are taken before justice.
“Personally, I will monitor the progress carried out in the investigations and field operations in search of criminals. We must send a clear sign that impunity will no longer be tolerated.
“Let me take this opportunity to call the citizens of the state of Kaduna to remain calm. All hands are on deck to ensure that our murdered citizens obtain justice. We have made remarkable progress in the construction of peace and the transformation of conflicts in Kaduna.
“Kaduna's peace model is a pointer to the fact that with the political will, the commitment and sincerity of the purpose, a toxic environment can become a” peace oasis. “The situation in the state of the plateau is not irredimible. The bloodshed must stop.
“Our deepest condolences to the families of our citizens who lost their beautiful lives in the local government of Mangu. I am in contact with the families of the victims. We will do everything in our power to reduce their pains.
“We will also make sure that wounded victims receive adequate medical attention. That the gentle souls of our deceased citizens rest in perfect peace.“
