The 2023 presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo, has criticized the governance of President Bola Tinubu, saying that he has one A1 in politics but a F9 in the government.

He made the statement in an interview with Vanguard on Thursday.

According to him, Tinubu's strength lies in his understanding of the political class and what motivates them, but does not meet basic services, stability and security for the Nigerian people.

“You have to give President Tinubu an A1 in politics. The only problem he has with the A1 is that he (Tinubu) tends to have F9 in the government.

“So, how will he graduate in any substantive legacy? That is a problem because A1's policy is that he knows very well the political class, he knows what moves and motivates them, and knows how to recruit them, sometimes he delays them, withdraws and re -drains them because he knows what they want,” said Adebayo.

Adebayo expressed concern that Tinubu's approach in political fortunes eclipse his responsibility for providing responsibility for Nigerians.

“Politicians who are now depressing albums for the president with the president of the Senate as a solo singer, and are singing the choirs, that music is only for their ears because the rumbling in the stomach of the Nigerians will not allow them to listen to the music of the National Assembly,” he said.

The SDP leader emphasized the need for politicians to prioritize people's well -being.

“What we want to do in a different way is to focus all the policy on the well -being of people. There will be less controversy if we address the problem of whether people are hungry or not, how many of them have good homes, we are investing in education as we should? Are we investing in medical care as we should?”

Adebayo also questioned Tinubu's economic management skills, accusing him of “economization of truth” instead of administering the economy effectively.

“The only ability of economics is the economy of truth, which is basically what they do, instead of managing the economy,” he said.

In Adebayo's opinion, good governance is key to prevent politicians from jumping from the ship.

“If you can't save lives in Benue, Plateau and many parts of the country, then it has failed,” he said.

He, however, advised Tinubu to prioritize people's well -being, instead of “political fortune”.
