The Congress of all progressives (APC) has appointed Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori as the national president of the party after the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Dalori, who currently serves as a national deputy director (north), was led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to assume the leadership role in a capacity for action pending the meeting of the National Executive Committee of the Party (NEC), which is immediately becoming to fill the vacancy.
The announcement was contained in an official statement signed by the National Advertising Secretary, Felix Morka, on Friday in Abuja.
According to the statement, Ganduje presented his resignation with an immediate effect to address “urgent and important personal issues.”

Dalori's appointment occurs almost two years after Ganduje was appointed national president in August 2023, happening to Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
During his mandate, Ganduje was praised to promote the cohesion of the party, boost the electoral force and supervise the key defects in the party.
With Dalori now to the helm, the APC said that it is still “firm and unwavering” by offering the renewed agenda of hope of President Tinubu and maintaining internal unity.
The party expressed its gratitude to Ganduje for its “invaluable contributions and a distinguished registration of service” and extended wishes for its future efforts.
