The Federal Government (FG) has reaffirmed its willingness to collaborate with the Kaduna State Government on the construction of Light Right Projects to improve the State Transportation System.
During a meeting with a delegation from the Government of the State of Kaduna, the Minister of Transportation, the senator said that Alkali acknowledged the desire of the state government to associate with the Federal Ministry of Transportation for the development of the Light Rail.
He stressed that this association is both timely and relevant, stating that the transport sector is crucial for the nation's economy. He pointed out that no country can significantly improve its GDP without an efficient and affordable transport system.
“When I assumed the position of Minister of Transportation. I was directed by Mr. President and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to guarantee the timely delivery of all railway projects under the railway association. His excellence, the ministry is satisfied with its development metrics. He looked out with that of our beloved president in transport in the upper scale of his administration.

The governor of the state of Kaduna, Senator Uba Sani, who directed the delegation, appreciated the minister for repositioning the rail transport system inside and outside the country.
The governor said that addressing transport -related problems would undoubtedly address other pressing problems, such as job creation and productivity improvement.

Senator Uba Sani pointed out that the state of Kaduna is one of the states that lead in the transport area, the transport center throughout the north of Nigeria, and second to none after lakes.
