Bulls persist in NGX as Variable Rent Investors earn N226BN

The Nigerian Variable Income Market suffered its Alcista impulse on Tuesday, as the index of all shares (thus) advanced at 0.31 percent to close to 121,653.93 basic points.

In the Nigerian exchange (NGX), the bullish feelings followed profits in First Holdings Company, Dangote Sugar and Guaranty Trust Holding Company, since the prices of the shares of these companies appreciated by 7.0 percent, 8.2 percent and 1.7 percent, respectively.

Consequently, monthly and year yields to date were established in +1.4 percent and +18.2 percent, respectively, underlining a strong investor confidence and a widely optimistic feeling throughout the market.

As a result, the general market capitalization won ₦ 226 billion, closing more in ₦ 76.57 billion.
The amplitude of the market was firmly positive, and 57 advanced shares significantly exceeded 22 decline, which illuminates the generalized purchase interest in several sectors.

High performance actions, such as Cadbury Nigeria, beer champion, Nigerian Exchange Group, Omatek Ventures, C \ & I and Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals, all appreciated closing the maximum daily threshold of 10 percent.

Meanwhile, Deap Capital Management & Trust, Etranzact, Northern Nigeria Flour Mills, Sunu Assurance Nigeria and VFD Group led the lags.

The sectorial performance reflected the general market trend, since all the main indices, except the oil and gas sector, closed in positive territory. Banking indices, insurance, consumer goods, industrial goods and basic products increased profits of 0.95 percent, 2.24 percent, 0.82 percent, 0.01 percent and 0.08 percent, respectively, while the oil and gas index fell marginally by 0.22 percent.

The activity of investors was remarkably strong, driven by the prevailing bullish feeling. Total agreements, negotiated volume and value improved at 3.03 percent, 22.33 percent and 34.94 percent, respectively. In total, 1.01 billion shares worth ₦ 19.48 billion were exchanged in 24,770 transactions, reflecting a greater market share.

Access Holdings exceeded the volume table with 124.25 million negotiated shares, while guarantee Trust Holding Company led the value table, registering ₦ 2.86 billion operations.
