At least 34 people have been confirmed dead after a tourist boat overturned on Saturday in Halong Bay of Vietnam, reports state media.
Another 11 people have been rescued, while search and rescue efforts continue to those who still disappear.
According to VN Express, the boat took 53 people: 48 tourists and five crew members.
The nationalities of those on board have not yet been revealed.
The ship, called Wonder Sea, was trapped in a storm around 1:30 pm local time (2:30 am et), which caused it to turn over.

VN Express reported that 27 ships and two rescue crafts were involved in the effort.

A 10 -year -old boy suffered multiple injuries, but is in stable condition, according to a local hospital director.
Another survivor, a 14 -year -old boy, was caught for four hours inside the sunk cabin of the ship.

The steering wheel occurred near Dau Go Cave, one of the greatest in the bay.
Halong Bay is a Unesco World Heritage site, known for its 1,600 islands and islets of limestone.
