Chief Jude Ezenwafor, the governor candidate of the Popular Democratic Party (PDP) for the state elections of Anambra 2025, was fired by unknown armed men in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja on Friday night.
He exceeded multiple gunshot wounds and was currently undergoing treatment in an unleashed hospital in the territory of the Federal Capital, Tribune Online gathered.

Ezenwafor described the incident as an “experience close to death,” and added that he is currently in an unleashed hospital.
“I am currently in the hospital. Doctors are making efforts to operate so that you can get bullets out of my body,” he said weakly.
Two other people who accompanied them were also fired in Abuja and receive medical attention.
The reason behind the attack is still clear, and the police have not yet issued an official statement.
The efforts of our correspondent to get to the Police Command of the Territory of the Federal Capital (FCT) were useless, since the spokesman for the command, Sp Josephine Adeh, could not be contacted at the time of presenting this report.
