The Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP) has strongly condemned the attempt to murder its candidate for governor for the election of November 8, 2025 in Anambra, Chief Jude EzenwaFor.
Jude Ezenwafor was fired by unknown armed men in the Wuse 2 of Abuja while returning from an appointment on Friday night.

According to reports, Ezenwafor suffered multiple gunshot wounds and is currently being treated in a private hospital, where doctors are preparing for emergency surgery to eliminate bullets from their body.
Two other people who accompanied them were also injured.
Reacting, the PDP in a statement signed on Sunday by its Secretary of National Advertising, Excmo. I must omologunagba, he said that the attack was orchestrated by certain uncomfortable interests with the growing popularity of Ezenwafor before the November elections.

The Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP) @Oficialpdpnig condemns in the strongest terms the attempt of the life of his candidate in the government elections of November 8, 2025 in the state of Anambra, the Jude Chief Jude Ezenwafor for the armed weapons that informed and opened fire in Aboja while returning from an appointment.
After a critical analysis of the violent incident, the PDP believes that certain interests that, apparently they feel uncomfortable with the growing popularity of the PDP candidate before the November elections, are desperate to prevent him from participating in the next survey.
Our party has also been informed of other plots by some anti -democratic elements in Anambra to begin a series of smear campaigns against our candidate after the failure of the murder plot.
This attack against the PDP candidate is another sad comment on the alarming level of insecurity in the country under the administration of all openly insensitive, corrupt and abysmally without rudder.
In any case, our clear message to the assailants and their sponsors are that they have and continue to fail in their evil machinations since the PDP candidate is divinely destined. Our candidate enjoys broad support from people and is likely to be victorious in the elections.
Our party accuses the police inspector general to immediately stop the assailants and their sponsors and at the same time reinforce security around the PDP candidate before the elections.
The PDP family urges Chief Ezenwa not to be discouraged by the attack.
