The Governor of the State of Edo, the senator on Monday Okpebholo, appointed former Casa del Ex -Brother Naija, Munirat Antoinette Lecky, popularly known as Anto Lecky, as his special tourism assistant and creative economy.
His appointment was confirmed in a letter signed by the Secretary of the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, and enters into force as of June 23, 2025.
The new role of Lecky occurs when the State intensifies the efforts to boost its tourist and creative sectors, especially with the plans to highlight the rich cultural heritage of Edo, including the anticipated return of the bronze of Benin stolen and the development of the main museum projects.
The appointment letter reads in part: “I write to inform you that the governor of the state of Edo, his excellence, senator, on Monday Okpebholo, approved his appointment as a special assistant to the governor on tourism on tourism and creative economy with effect since June 23, 2025.
Anto Lecky jumped to national prominence as a semifinalist in the reality show of Big Brother Naija widely seen. Since then, it has remained active in the creative and media landscape of Nigeria.
Before his appointment, he served as special arts and projects led in Electher, a non -profit organization that advocates the participation of women in governance. He was also a program manager at the Kunle Apholayan Kap Film and Television Academy and had previously worked as Head of Operations in the First Private Basketball League of Nigeria.
Lecky also organized flavors, a travel and food show emitted in DSTV.
He currently has a federal appointment as a special assistant in digital and new media for the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Audu.
