The Kaduna State Police command has invited the former governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, and six members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), for questioning about the alleged criminal misconduct in the state.
This was contained in a police invitation letter dated September 4, 2025, and signed by the Police Deputy Commissioner in charge of the Department of Criminal Investigation, Cid, Uzainu Abdullahi obtained exclusively by the Nigerian tribe
The invitation letter ordered the President of the State of ADC to produce the-Rufai and the others in the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) on September 8.
Those who appear in the invitation are Bashir Sa’idu, Jafaru Sani, Ubaidullah Mohammed (popularly known as 30), Nasiru Maikano, Aminu Abita and Ahmed Rufa’i Hussaini (also known as Mikiya).
The letter, entitled “Investigation Activities: the case of criminal conspiracy, incite the alteration of public peace, mischief and cause serious damage,” said the invitation was to allow people to clarify the accusations reported against them
The Police had sealed on Wednesday the Secretariat of the ADC party in No. 4 Ali Akilu Road, Kaduna, hours before the leadership of the northwest of the party was scheduled to visit the state chapter on a commissioner mission.
According to the sources, the visit was intended to sympathize with injured members when political thugs attacked a coalition meeting of the Social Democratic Party, SDP and ADC in Kaduna last week.
Eye witnesses said several police patrol trucks were deployed around the facilities to block access to the opposition party office.
The efforts to speak with the-Rufai, about the development were abortive since his phone was unattainable.
