The Secretary of Advertising of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mallam Balaji Abdullahi, has denied the claims of judicial cases that challenge the leadership of the party that adds that the party is not aware of any legal challenge for leadership.
Abdullahi, while talking in Channels TV’s policy today on Wednesday, declared: “We are not aware of any case, no legal case against ADC. What we have is the administrative process of changing the leadership of the ADC from where we are going to.”

Abdullahi also explained that the party leadership transition was the result of an administrative process, and that the current Executive Committee is recognized by INEC.
“We have done that transition effectively. Now we can advance with the task of building our party.”
The ADC spokesman also addressed concerns about the performance of the party in recent elections, attributing it to the fact that the elections took place shortly after the party leadership transition.
“The election occurred less than a month after we entered the party,” said Abdullahi. Most candidates were doing it on their own. “
Abdullahi expressed optimism about the future of the party, saying that the recognition of the leadership of the party would give more confidence to its members throughout the country.
“This will now give more confidence to our membership throughout the country,” he said.
The ADC spokesman also highlighted the party’s commitment to build a mass political party that can mobilize people throughout the country.
“We want to build a real political party that represents something, which believes in something,” said Abdullahi.
Abdullahi further emphasized the importance of the leadership transition of the party, saying that it would allow the party to advance with its agenda.
“Now that we have done this and we have this substantive executive, we now begin to make a systematic registration of the members,” he said.
The objective of the party, said Abdullahi, is to provide the Nigerians with a viable alternative to the current ruling party.
“We want the Nigerians to arrive at 2027 and wonder, has this ruling party improve our lives? And they decide if they want to continue with this ruling party or what they want to change,” he said..
