The Federal Government has chosen the Nigerian celebrity chef, Hilda Baci, for its continuous attempt to establish a new Guinness world record cooking the largest pot in the world in the world.
The Minister of National Information and Orientation, Mohammed Idris, described the feat as “another demonstration of Nigeria’s global excellence.”
He gave the recommendation through the General Director of the Nigeria Advertising Regulatory Council (Arcon), Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, at the event held on Friday at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
Baci, who won an international fame in 2023 after breaking the worldwide record of Guinness for the longest kitchen marathon with a 93 -hour effort, is now undertaking the ambitious challenge using a personalized pot of six meters wide.
“The federal government praises the extraordinary effort of Hilda Baci to put Nigeria once again on the global map. His dedication to excellence and his implacable search for greatness exemplify the Nigerian spirit that the world has come to appreciate,” Idris said.

He added that Baci’s trip underlines values ​​of perseverance, commitment and legitimate work, promising the government’s support to initiatives that project Nigerian excellence on the global scenario.
The minister also praised the meticulous preparation and compliance with BACI to hygiene standards, emphasizing that his professionalism reflects the quality and integrity by which Nigeria is known.
He urged the thousands of Nigerian young people who crowded the place to emulate their discipline and creativity, expressing optimism that their record attempt would inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs and innovatives.
On behalf of President Bola Tinubu, Idris wanted Baci’s success, noting that his achievement would be a collective national victory.
