Wigan Stuart Latham, in the United Kingdom, has been imprisoned for 14 years after being convicted of multiple sexual crimes against children he attacked online.
Latham, 22 years old, went through a 14 -year -old boy to deceive young people to send indecent images in exchange for money or gift cards.
Later, he blackmailed many of them threatening to filter the photos if they asked to be deleted.
He was sentenced in Preston Crown Court for 49 positions, which include rape, blackmail, making indecent images and making a child participate in sexual activities. It is believed that the case is one of Manchester’s biggest investigations on child abuse online.
One of her 41 victims, who was only 12 years old when Latham raped her, told her in court: “You’ve moved away the child in me.” Another victim said he thought he was in a relationship with him, describing how his heart “fell” when he discovered what he had done to others.
The court heard that Latham used Snapchat to communicate with girls up to 11 years. He created a false profile with a photo of a teenager and published ads that offered £ 200 gift cards in exchange for indecent images.
When the police arrested him, they discovered a hidden phone containing thousands of child abuse images, including videos of up to an hour.
The victims were found throughout the United Kingdom, from Scotland to Bournemouth, and researchers believe there could be others in the United States.
Greater Manchester police have urged any other person who has been attacked by Latham to appear.
