Customs Z zone decoras 67 freshly promoted officers

The Comptroller, the Federal Operations Unit, zone C of the Customs Service of Nigeria (NCS), Bishir Abdullahi Balogun, on Thursday decorated 67 officials recently promoted by the unit, stating that decoration is a call to greater performance, integrity and leadership.

Speaking during the decoration, the Comptroller Bishir Abdullahi Balogun declared that those who did not get the promotion must be strong and prepare more next time.

According to the comptroller Balogun, “I have a great pleasure to welcome them to this very important and cheerful occasion, which is the decoration of 67 newly promoted officers of the Federal Operations Unit, Zone C, Owerri.

“Today, we celebrate not only the promotions, but the dedication, discipline and excellence in service to the customs service of Nigeria and our great nation.

“The promotion in the service is not a routine exercise; it is a reward for hard work, loyalty and commitment to duty. It also comes with greater responsibilities and expectations.

“For those who are decorated today, this recognition is a call to greater performance, integrity and leadership.

“On behalf of the Comptroller General of Customs and the Management of the Service, I congratulate the 67 that the new ranks reached. He urges him to see this as a privilege and a challenge.
