The Congress of all progressives (APC) in the state of Lagos has advised former President Goodluck Jonathan to continue enjoying his retirement and protect his good name.
The spokesman of the party, Mogaji Seye Oladejo gave the advice while reacted to the statement made by a head of the Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP), Professor Jerry wins on former President Jonathan who challenges the presidential elections of 2027.
Oladejo described the Win Rhetoric as soon, pointing out that the elections are about ideas and performance, not only bring the old leaders back.
He said: “The professor wins cannot decide only who will be the PDP candidate, adding that this shows that the party still has problems with equity and internal democracy.
“If Jonathan tries to work again, it will not be easy for him due to past records and other challenges. Nigerians should focus on real problems such as food, electricity, transport, jobs and security. President Bola Tinubu is already working on reforms to grow the economy and improve people’s lives.”
