Nigeria in Movement Union without Movement – Adebayo de SDP

The leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo, has lamented that more than six decades after independence, Nigeria has moved infinitely in circles.

Emphasizing that much has been achieved, he said that the elites have not woken up with the militant wing to go to obtain their uniform and take care of the leadership of the country.

Adebayo, in a statement over the weekend, lamented the level of rot in the system, from generalized crimes to corruption, insecurity, inflation and poverty, among others, attributing development to poor leadership.

He denounced the acceptance of evil in the system as a way of life, saying: “I think that all crimes, vices and evil that could be eaten are already allowed under the system. There is no need to break it, it is already working. Then, everyone remains there and we, that we are democrats, we are happy that we have had a broken civil system.”

In the midst of the regret of the country’s trip until now, Adebayo expressed the hope of a major tomorrow while drawing an analogy between 1960 when the independence trip began and today.

He said: “We started the trip in October 1960 on foot, but we do not walk diligently. We were just joking with him. So we have not reached the destination. But, fortunately for us, the trip that began on foot, now we have cars to continue, we have planes to continue. So, there is hope on the horizon.”

He, however, blamed all the problems of the country, ranging from insecurity to corruption and bad infrastructure development, among others, to poor leadership.

Painting a lucid image of how poor is the situation, he said: “In Nigeria, you can be a pastor, a bishop or a general supervisor without being a Christian. And you can be a main magnet without being Muslim; you are only occupying the position because society allows it.

“In the same line, you can be a teacher without being an academic because it is just a title for you and claim something or massage your ego.

“He can be a senior defender or a judge, without knowing justice, without paying his workers. He may be bothering and harassing his national staff and you achieve justice anymore.

“You don’t have a sense of justice, but you are the one who decides about justice for the whole country. And nobody cares. So you will have a high -level police officer who steals and nothing happens.
