Speaker Tajudeen leads delegation of representatives at 8th China International Import Expo – Tribune Online

The President of the House of Representatives, His Excellency. Abbas Tajudeen is currently leading a high-level Chamber delegation to the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), scheduled to be held in Shanghai on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

The Chinese Embassy in Nigeria had extended an invitation to the Spokesperson to attend the 8th China International Import Expo.

Accepting the invitation, President Tajudeen expressed his deep gratitude to the Government and people of China for the sustained friendship and strategic partnership that continues to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

The delegation, which has already arrived in China, will participate in the opening ceremony of the 8th China International Import Expo, where spokesperson Tajudeen will deliver a five-minute goodwill message.

The President will later hold a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Li Qiang, where President Abbas is expected to highlight key areas of collaboration between Nigeria and China, including parliamentary cooperation.

President Tajudeen will also lead the delegation to a series of engagements, including participation in the China-Africa Economic and Cultural Forum and a meeting with the Governor and Party Secretary of Zhejiang Province in Hangzhou on November 6, as well as a visit to the corporate headquarters of key Chinese companies.

In the delegation is the leader of the Chamber, Hon. Julio Ihonvbere; Deputy Minority Whip, Hon. Georgy Ozodinobi; Honorable. Auwalu Gwalabe; Honorable. Muktar Umar; Honorable. Babajimi Benson; Honorable. Beautiful Isa Ambarura; Honorable. Jaafar Yakubu; and the Hon. Ahmed Safana.

Others include the Speaker’s Chief of Staff, Professor Jake Dan-Azumi; Special Assistant to the Spokesperson on Interparliamentary Affairs, Lawyer Chimdi Neliaku; and the Spokesperson’s Director of Protocol, Musa Hussein.
