President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to national unity, security and resilience, declaring that Nigeria remains a united family determined to overcome its challenges and emerge stronger.
In a statement issued on Friday, Tinubu said his government is steadfast in fighting terrorism, strengthening diplomatic relations and ensuring inclusive national development.
“We face challenges head-on and remain steadfast in our commitment to engage our partners and defend Nigeria’s interests on the diplomatic front.
“We are confidently asserting our presence on the global stage, guided by unwavering calm, clarity and a strong sense of purpose,” Tinubu said.

The President acknowledged that Nigeria continues to fight terrorism, a challenge that has persisted for almost two decades, but vowed that his administration will not relent until the threat is defeated.
“We are indeed confronted with terrorism – a challenge that Nigeria has faced for almost two decades – and we will not turn back. We will defeat terrorism decisively and claim victory in this battle.
“Security is non-negotiable and we will never compromise on this principle. With unwavering courage and a firm commitment to the rule of law, we will prevail,” he said.
Stressing national unity, President Tinubu said Nigerians must remain united in the face of adversity.
“Nigeria is a united family. We rise together, we move forward together and we reject despair in favor of determination. Our future is much more solid and stronger than any fear we may have,” he said.
He reiterated his administration’s determination to sustain ongoing reforms aimed at achieving a prosperous and inclusive Nigeria, assuring citizens that no effort would be spared in the fight against insecurity and crime.
“We will spare no effort and leave no stone unturned in our mission to eliminate criminals from our society. We urge our allies to stand firm with us as we amplify our fight against terrorism.
“We have made significant progress over the past two years and we will decisively eliminate this threat.”
Tinubu further pledged that Nigeria will continue to be a reliable partner to the international community and a strong voice for stability on the global stage.
“Nigeria will be, and will continue to be, a reliable partner and ally to its friends and a strong voice for stability. We also welcome the collaboration and support of our allies, friends and partners as we strengthen both security and economic growth.”
The President also paid tribute to the armed forces and intelligence community, recognizing their bravery, patriotism and sacrifices in the ongoing war against terrorism.
“To the brave men and women of our armed forces and intelligence community, united for purpose, regardless of tribe or religion, who serve without fear, fight side by side and sometimes pay the ultimate price, we express our deepest gratitude. Your commitment is our strength in the fight against terrorism,” Tinubu said..
