The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdurosheed Akanbi, on Sunday afternoon advised President Bola Tinubu not to be moved by external forces of President Donald Trump of the United States, but to focus and put his faith in God.
The monarch who made this known after the annual Olodumare festival in Iwo, stated: “You will be successful if you give all the glory to God Almighty. You need to give more glory to God than you have been giving. If we can all return to God, there is nothing to fear.”
“There is no reason to fear Trump. If you bring your concerns to God, who created everything, including Trump, there is no reason to fear. Iwo has been untouched by war because of its community’s steadfast devotion to God.”
“Nigeria is chosen to bring the glory of Africa, Tinubu should not fear any nuclear power, we do not fear any war or Trump himself.
“Even the United States, if you look at their slogan, is ‘In God We Trust’, that is why they cannot be devastated by war; if Nigeria can do the same, no war can dominate us.”
Ti’nubu should not fear Trump or nuclear energy, but fear God. If you can do this, you shouldn’t worry. God Almighty is behind Nigeria which is why he made Tinubu our president.
“Here in Iwoland we don’t fear anyone, we don’t fear any nuclear power, we don’t fear Trump. So Tinubu should not fear Trump; he should fear God.”
“He does not need to fear nuclear energy; he must fear God (Olodumare). That is why Iwo has never been devastated by war.”
Commenting on this year’s Odun Eledumare celebration, the monarch commented: “All traditional rulers must know that their palaces belong to the unquestionable God; they must be representatives of God on earth and not serve deities. It is only God who appoints kings.”
He highlighted: “Our annual celebration is to pray to God for new beginnings. This year, we want God to cleanse our land of generational curses.”
“We have handed over the kingdom of Iwo to Almighty God, and every year he has been doing great things for us by protecting and providing for us. This is the only land that has never been devastated by war. We are using this type of event to cleanse the land of generational curses.”
“God is the owner of the Yoruba palaces, therefore the will must resort to him. Yoruba kings must exalt God and not be representatives of deities.”
“I am a king chosen by God to defend this prayer against generational curses,” he added.
