…at what point did APC fail?—Osun APC questions Aregbesola
Former Minister of Interior and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, on Tuesday reviewed the performance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on governance and labeled the party a total failure in the economy, security and other critical sectors, saying the ruling party has clearly failed Nigerians.
Aregbesola, who described the APC-led federal government as a disappointment to the plight of Nigerians, maintained that things are falling apart for them because God has completely disowned and abandoned them.
He unveiled them in Osogbo after the party concluded its tours of Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu and Irepodun federal constituencies.
Aregbesola Aregbesola, who had led the party’s mobilization in the state’s nine federal constituencies, told a large crowd of party supporters who came out to embrace him that they should reject the party in 2027.
According to him, “those in government now did the best they could, but God is not with them because they did not start with God.”
“They are selfish. They started with the word ‘Emi, instead of Awa’. They have been disgraced in all sectors, especially in the economy, security, governance and others,” Aregbesola added.
“God has left the current government and even the government at the center. They used to rig the elections; we know their tactics.”
“Before the next election, they have started taking good care of women who are no longer of childbearing age. On election day, give them new clothes and let them sit in a group of 10 per polling booth and leave the rest to God.”

“It has failed to reach a high level in the economy, security and other critical sectors.”
“There is no sector where they have not failed. They have disappointed Nigerians in almost every area.
“The economy is in a desperate situation, insecurity is ravaging the country, as well as many obstacles of the current administration.”
“The only viable alternative to all this is our great party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which is prepared to liberate the people and make life more abundant for the masses.”
“We are happy that our people have decided to remove an incompetent government. Our party, if elected, will correct all the mistakes of governance and set the tone for our beloved state, Osun and our country to witness mass-oriented development.
“Continue to mobilize and attract more people to join the party and participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise. We promise you all a government of vision, mission and direction,” Aregbesola further stated.
“It is time for Nigerians to speak with one voice and galvanize the electorate to remove the ruling parties at all levels.”
The former Osun governor noted that his party presents the viable alternative to address the nation’s challenges of insecurity, mismanagement, poverty, hunger and absence of good governance.
After the tour, the former state governor led the party leadership to the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, on a courtesy visit, where he was described as a good leader.
In his reaction, the Osun State APC Media Director, Kola Olabisi, asked Aregbesola: “At what point did APC fail?”
According to him, ‘He (Aregbesola) was governor for eight years and minister for four years thanks to the benevolence of this same party, he stated that he has failed. “He is attacking himself.”
“The former Minister of the Interior reached his current height thanks to the benevolence of God and the party he criticized,” he stressed.
