‘Do not eat’, Asda, Tesco and other major UK supermarkets recall products – Tribune Online

Several major UK supermarkets, including Asda, Tesco, Lidl, Marks & Spencer, Poundland and Iceland, have issued urgent “do not eat” warnings following a series of product recalls linked to safety concerns.

The recalls were announced after routine checks revealed problems such as incorrect expiration dates, undeclared allergens and the possible presence of glass or plastic.

The UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) has advised shoppers who bought any of the affected items to stop eating them and return them to the store for a refund.

Asda has recalled its 10 mini duck spring rolls with Hoisin sauce after discovering the packaging had an incorrect expiry date. The product was labeled December 29, 2025, instead of the correct November 29, 2025, so it is not safe to consume after the actual date.

Tesco has recalled its celery, fruit and nut salad because it contains mustard, which is not listed on the label. The recall affects products with an expiration date of December 2, 2025 and the error poses a risk to consumers allergic to mustard.

Poundland & Dealz asked customers to return The Tasty Snack Co.’s salted roasted cashews after confirming the product may contain glass. The affected lot has the code 56T 25255 and an expiration date of July 19, 2026.

Lidl also recalled its simply roasted and salted cashews (125g) due to the possible presence of glass fragments, with the affected packages having a best before date of June 28, 2026.

Marks & Spencer has recalled its Milk Chocolate Honeycomb (120g) because the product may contain peanuts, which are not declared on the label.

The recall applies to lot number 5242, with an expiration date of May 12, 2026.

Iceland advised customers not to eat its vegetable lasagna after discovering some packages may contain hard pieces of plastic. The affected products have expiration dates of July 23, 2026 and July 30, 2026.

The FSA said point-of-sale notices have been placed in stores to alert customers and explain the action required. Buyers who purchased any of the affected products are urged to return them for a full refund.
