The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, has embarked on a campaign to renew reconciliation efforts within the Okeho chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while maintaining strategic engagements with key APC stakeholders aimed at strengthening harmony and rebuilding trust among party members in Kajola Local Government in Oyo State.
Gbadegesin, who used his visit to Okeho during the 2025 Okeho Day celebration and the official take-off of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO) to launch the campaign, was received by the APC leader in Kajola local government, Baba Ariori, along with other prominent figures of the party, including Alhaji Isiaka Obe and Alhaji Abu.
Gbadegesin, former Commissioner for Health of Oyo State during the administration of late Governor Abiola Ajimobi and son of Professor Segun Gbadegesin, Asiwaju of Okeho, maintained strategic engagements with key APC stakeholders in the community.
Speaking after the meetings, Gbadegesin said his visit reaffirmed his commitment to unite the party and support the overall development of Okeho, describing the consultations as part of broad efforts to consolidate internal cohesion and encourage collective progress.
“This pledge is about reconciliation, unity and progress of our party and Okeho,” he said.
He stressed that unity remains essential in attracting development to Oke Ogun communities, adding: “When they agree and come together in one voice, it will drive development in Oke Ogun and its environs.”
“I urge you to pray and stay focused on the work ahead that will bring the dividends of democracy to Okeho, Saki and other areas,” he added.
Gbadegesin further noted that improvements in infrastructure, including schools and financial institutions, would be achieved more easily as party members work together.
He encouraged leaders to reach out to those who have not yet joined the progressive movement, highlighting the importance of collective commitment to the growth of the region.
