The Zamfara State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Kabiru Garba Gusau has clarified the identity of the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Zamfara, stressing that the ADC is united and ready for the 2027 general elections in the state.
In a press conference held at the Zamfara State ADC Secretariat in Gusau on Thursday, Hon. Kabiru Garba Gusau revealed that the ADC structure in Zamfara remains committed to the party’s constitution and the rule of law.
“I address you today on behalf of the leaders, members, candidates and supporters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Zamfara State Chapter, at a very important time in the political development of our party and our state.

“We have called this briefing because there are several issues related to the ADC that require clear, responsible and authoritative clarification.
“We believe that the people of Zamfara deserve to hear directly from the legitimate leaders of the party rather than relying on rumours, propaganda, social media speculation or statements from people who do not speak for the ADC in the state.
“Our position is simple: we respect the courts, we respect the law and we will continue to defend the legitimate structure of the ADC through legal and constitutional means.
“For the avoidance of doubt, I want to make our position absolutely clear.
However, the Hon. Ibrahim Salisu Mafara is the ADC gubernatorial candidate for Zamfara State.
“Let me also emphasize that ADC Zamfara is prepared to defend the mandate of its candidates through all legitimate legal and constitutional avenues available.
“ADC is united and ready for 2027 despite the challenges. Let me make this clear: ADC Zamfara is not dead, ADC Zamfara is not divided beyond reconciliation and ADC Zamfara is not abandoning its political mission.” He emphasized.
