A former attached youth leader of the youth of the Congress of all progressives (APC), the Honorable Afeez Bolaji Repete, has said that a unifying and acceptable candidate is the only panacea for APC to claim the governance seat of the state of Oyo in 2027.
He said that candidate must arise through a free, transparent and fair primary election.
Repeated added that anything less than this would be equivalent to building a building on a defective discord basis.
He also stated: “Therefore, it is known that unity in 2025, 2026, 2027 and beyond is not a luxury, but a necessity, reconciliation is not a plea, but an imperative, and collective leadership is the only way to victory.
“Only then will the APC be raised in the state of Oyo as a Phoenix of the ashes of its current tribulations and the triumphant march towards 2027”.
To guarantee the objective, repeated added that “what is urgently required at the state level is a collegiate leadership that is broad, inclusive and magnanimous base that is capable of repositioning the part for the lasting relevance.
“Equally crucial is the remodeling of the APC reward system. Party members who work in loyalty and sacrifice should not remain perpetual soldiers of the feet, while opportunists harvest their sweat,” he said.
