Senator Tunde Ogbeha, Vice President (North Centre) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has stated that the party’s mission to rescue Nigeria must be driven by collective commitment.
Speaking in Kabba on Saturday during the formal presentation of the party structure for the zone ahead of the 2027 general elections, he referred to the event as “a new chapter for the ADC in Kogi West and Kogi State as a whole.”
He reaffirmed the expulsion of the Hon. Leke Abejide of the ADC stressed that the legislator will not represent the party in the 2027 elections.
Ogbeha encouraged party members to enhance popular mobilization, stating that the ADC is fully prepared to ensure victory in the upcoming general elections.
“Our mission is to provide a platform where people’s voices are heard and respected. We are committed to transparency, inclusivity and creating opportunities for all citizens of Kogi West,” he said.
The former senator called on community leaders to support the building of strong district and unit structures, noting that true development must begin at the local level.
Also addressing the gathering, Senator Dino Melaye said hardships had worsened under the APC-led administration, alleging that hunger, unemployment and insecurity had reached alarming levels.
He warned the Hon. Leke Abejide against actions capable of causing discord in Okunland, saying that people were “patiently waiting for him at home.”
Melaye maintained that the ADC remained the only credible alternative capable of providing moral courage and political will to reposition Nigeria.
He accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of failing in its primary duty of protecting citizens, adding that kidnappings and killings had continued unchecked.
In his statements, the Secretary of State, Alh. Musa Ahmadu, urged the APC government to purge itself of corruption, insisting that nation building requires accountability and transparency.
He called on Kogi West residents to register en masse for the upcoming ADC membership drive, saying only strong civic participation could dislodge the APC in 2027 and restore the fortunes of the nation.

Others included Olayinka Braimoh, former gubernatorial candidate; Oh. Bologi Yabagi, former president of Lokoja LGA; Dr. Idris, former state legislator; as well as Amb. Joe Elebiyo, Chief Dayo Akande, Chief Adegboyega Kolade, Barr. Omoyemi Gold Olumudi, Dr. Idris Rufus Oluwafemi, Hon. MO Sule, Hon. Sola Ojo, Your Excellency. Adamu Quincy and several other chiefs.
