The Pan Yoruba Sociopolitical Group, AFENEFER, on Monday, remembers Ed and honored the late group leader, Pa Abraham Adesanya, about 17 years after his departure to Great Beyond.
The most important Yoruba group that paid brilliant tributes to its late leader described it as a highly main and consistent democratic political leader.
AFENEFER, in a statement signed by the National Secretary of Organization of AFENEFER, ABAGUN KOLE OMOLOLU, said that the legacy of the deceased leader of the group would continue to inspire the way in which the leaders play politics in this country
He said that people like him are not many and said: “On this solemn day, AFENIFER Honor the memory of Senator Abraham Adesanya, a titan of awareness, courage and inflexible patriotism.
“A lighthouse of progressive thought and a relentless defender of true federalism, the life of Adesanya embodied a deep devotion to the ideals of justice, freedom and national equity.
“In an era marked by the dictatorship and democratic subversion, it remained firm, a lonely voice of moral authority when many had silenced.
“His leadership of AFENEFER was not distinguished by Bluster, but by a dignified tenacity that galvanized a generation yearning for a Nigeria governed by equity and reason”
He said: “Pope Adesanya understood that nations are not sustained by mere geographical limits, but by structures based on consensus, equity and mutual respect.
“His calls to restructuring were not capricious or opportunistic; they had a sagacious understanding that the force of a nation lies in the inclusion of their foundations.
“Today, as we reflect on the life of this great statesman, we are reminded that leadership is not simply about the position, but the service to the lasting principles.
“AFENEFER Greets Pope Abraham Adesanya, a firm sentry of democratic ideals and a true architect of hope. That his legacy continues to inspire generations”
