The people of Anioma in the state of Delta praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruler Congress of the Progressive (APC) for the proposed creation of the state of Anioma, saying that the priority given to his request has been encouraging and could help properly balance the Federation, which is currently biased against the IGBO.
Remember that the town of Anioma of the State of Delta, which includes the nine areas of local government predominantly of Igbo: Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West, Ika North East, Ika South, Oshimili North, Oshimili South and Ukwuani, have been advocated by the creation of the new State and have expressed the government government.
It should also be remembered that the search for the state of Anioma began in the 1950s under the leadership of Ojiba Ahababa Dennis Osade de Blessed Memory, supported by the late Idisi Dafe de Obiaruku; the king of Idumuje Ugboko at that time, Obi Nwoko; the deceased Sir George Orewa; and the late boss Humphrey Iwerebon, also known as MKpitime, both from IKA.

The Director of Media and Advertising of the Creation of the State of Anioma, the chief Prince Osita Tonnie Oganah, made this recommendation in a signed statement, expressing his thanks to President Tinubu and the APC for giving the people of Anioma an opportunity to have their own state, such as the Senate Committee in the review of the 1999 Constitution continues its consultations through the country this Friday, July 4, July 4.
“The priority given to the request to create the state of Anioma has been encouraging and should help properly balance the Federation, which is currently biased against the IGBO.
“Asaba, the capital of the state of Delta, was the first capital of Nigeria and a genocide theater during the civil war, which ended in 1970. If created, the State would be viable, since it has abundant resources of oil, gas and minerals.
“It already has a modern and functional state house, secretariat, rooms of the commissioners, etc. New and expensive capital projects would not be needed. Warri, another city in the state of Delta, also boasts of a quality infrastructure,” reads the statement.
The group also praised the two senators of the state of Delta, Joel Onoowakpo and Ede Dafinone, for supporting the application for creation of the Anioma state.
Oganah described the current Delta Northko Anioma senator, Ned Nwoko, as champion and arrow tip of the fight, supported by traditional rulers, young people, artisans, women in the market and the prosperous business, political and academic elite.
