In support of the emergence of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Honorable Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, as the party’s candidate for the Ifo/Ewekoro federal constituency, party loyalists in the constituency, on Wednesday, launched the ADJYAYI Independent Campaign Group.
The ADJYAYI group is expected to mobilize grassroots support for Adeola and Adeleye, who until their emergence was the state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development.
The group, convened by Chief Wole Enilolobo, former Ifo Local Government Chairman, said its emergence is aimed at complementing the established structure of APC and strengthening the party’s chances of victory in all constituencies and constituencies.
Speaking at the launch, Enilolobo said: “The AICG does not aim to create a parallel political structure or undermine the APC, but rather to create synergy with party leaders and existing structures.”
“The objective of the group was the victory of YAYI, APC candidates and the party at all levels,” adding that its activities would be guided by peaceful and responsible political engagement.
He called on members to contribute their ideas, energy, networks, experience and resources to the movement, maintaining discipline and loyalty to the collective goal.
He urged members to look beyond the elections, engaging with communities and supporting initiatives that promote youth development, women’s empowerment, community development and economic opportunities.
In her remarks, Adeleye praised the organizers for rallying the party faithful but clarified that their presence was not the formal start of their campaign.
“Although the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had lifted its campaign restrictions for the Presidency and the National Assembly, the APC leadership at the state level was yet to officially commence its campaign; rest assured, I would follow the instructions of the party before formally launching my campaign,” he stated.

Adeleye called for unity among the party faithful, warning that personal ambitions and internal divisions must not be allowed to undermine the collective strength of the party and urged all support groups to begin early mobilization and sustain their structures beyond the election season, with clear responsibilities, measurable objectives and active participation in all constituencies.
