The former president of the United States, Barack Obama, and former first lady Michelle Obama have publicly approached the rumors of divorce that have surrounded their marriage during the past year, and are not laughing.

Barack joined Michelle and his brother, Craig Robinson, in the last episode of the brothers' podcast, Imo, launched on Wednesday. Although the episode focused on the raising and raising of children, the trio began with a cheerful vision of persistent rumors about Obama's relationship.

“Wait, do you like others?” Robinson joked when Barack entered the conversation.

Michelle replied with a laugh: “Oh, yes, the rumor factory.”

Barack then joked: “She took me back. It was touch and go for a while.”

Robinson continued the jokes, saying: “It is very good to have them both in the same room”, which causes Michelle jokee: “I know, because when we are not, people think we are divorced.”

The speculation about Obama's marriage began earlier this year when Barack appeared only in several important public events, including the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter and the second inauguration of President Donald Trump.

Later, Michelle approached his absence of those events, explaining in the episode of July 9 of Imo that with her greeting daughters and her husband is no longer in office, she now feels empowered to make decisions based on her own needs.

“This stage of life for me is the first time I have been completely free,” he said.

In the last episode, Michelle reiterated that rumors about marriage problems are unfounded.

“There has not been a moment in our marriage where I thought about leaving my man. And we have had really difficult moments,” he said. “We have had many fun moments, many adventures, and I have become a better person due to the man I am married.”

The couple, who married in Chicago in 1992, has long shared their link with the public. On Valentine's Day this year, Barack published a photo of the two on Instagram with the legend: “Thirty -two years together and still leave me breathless.”

Michelle posted the same photo on his page, writing: “If there is a person I can always count, it's you, @barackobama. You are my rock. I have always been. I will always be.”
