The president of China, Xi Jinping, presented on Tuesday laser weapons, nuclear ballistic missiles and underwater giant drones in a massive military parade that marks 80 years from the country’s victory over Japan in World War II.
The event, held in Beijing, was attended by Vladimir Putin de Russia and Kim Jong Und of North Korea, along with dozens of other heads of state, although only two Western leaders were present.
According to the BBC, the three leaders gathered together for the first time as the most lasting image of the choreographed show.
Apart from the parade, Kim told Putin that it was the “fraternal duty” of North Korea to help Russia. Pyongyang has already sent weapons and troops to support the Moscow War in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump, who was not in the parade, rebuked XI on social networks: “Please give my warmer greetings to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong a while conspiring against the United States of America.”
