China will introduce a new K Visa on October 1, 2025, aimed at young professionals in science, technology and entrepreneurship. The measure is part of Beijing’s efforts to attract global talent and strengthen its position as an innovation center.

What is K visa
Visa K is a new entrance route designed for young scientists, technologists and businessmen. Unlike traditional Chinese work visas, applicants do not need a job offer or invitation from a local employer.
Who can apply
The VISA is mainly directed to professionals under 45 who have accredited universities or proven experience in research laboratories, new companies or other fields related to high -level innovation.
Multiple entries are allowed
Visa K allows holders to travel inside and outside China several times, giving flexibility for conferences, research or commercial collaborations.
Longest validity
It comes with prolonged stay periods, reducing the stress of frequent renovations and making it adequate for projects or long -term studies.
