Customs repudiates the fake recruitment list TCB

Must Read

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has repudiated a press release that currently circulates on social networks and other messaging platforms, announcing the short list for a computer -based test (TCC).

The NCS said that the alleged TCB recruitment list falsely states that TCC takes place in July 2025 as part of the current NC recruitment exercise.

In a statement on Sunday, the NCS categorically declared that this TCB recruitment list is fraudulent, misleading and did not emanate from the Nigeria customs service, and added that at no time the service issued such an announcement with respect to a TCC presented in July 2025.

ABDULLAHI MAIWADA, Comptroller Assistant to Customs, National Public Relations Officer, said: “After thorough scrutiny, it is clear that the false declaration contains several discrepancies, particularly in the format. The electronic signature format differs from our official standard and the mentioned recruitment timeline shows a defective structure that is not connected to any legitimate process.

“The Nigeria Customs Service understands the interest of many Nigerians in their ongoing recruitment process and urges the public not to interact, share or act on said content not verified. Authentic information on NCS activities, including its ongoing recruitment exercises, will be published only on our official website, social media platforms and recognized national recognition.

“The service is taking measures to trace the origin of this false information and will take the appropriate measures to hold those responsible. When the service is configured to begin the following phase of the recruitment process, the public will be properly notified through the appropriate channels.

“The NCS deeply appreciates the surveillance of worried Nigerians. We reaffirm our commitment to protect the public from erroneous information, ensuring that all our processes maintain the highest standards of transparency and integrity.”
