The interim zonal director of the Commission of Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC), the Enugu command, Aisha Abubakar, has praised mainpower electricity distribution limited (medl) for the improved quality of the service in ENUGU and its prompt response to the authorization of failures.

Mainpower is the subsidiary of the ENUGU PLC (EEDC) electricity distribution company responsible for the distribution of electricity within the Enugu state.

The recommendation occurred when Mainpower’s managing director, Dr. Ernest Mupwaya, addressed his team in a courtesy visit to the Interim Zonal Director of the EFCC in the Commission’s ENUGU command.

The visit was part of Mainpower’s efforts to strengthen collaboration and build strategic associations with critical stakeholders within its franchise area.

Dr. Mupwaya took the opportunity to congratulate the commission for his efforts in the fight against economic crimes.

He also highlighted some of the challenges faced by the Company, including the habitual payment of electricity bills, energy theft, meter bypass, illegal connections with the network and vandalism. He requested the support of the Commission when addressing these issues, which he described as economic sabotage.

In his response, the interim zonal director of EFCC appreciated the visit and assured the main team of the preparation of the commission to collaborate to address the challenges facing the company, especially those related to economic sabotage.

She further praised the main power due to the remarkable improvement in the provision of services throughout the State and urged the company not to give in to maintain this feat.
