Errol Musk, Elon Musk’s father, 79, has been accused of sexually abusing five of his children and steps since 1993, according to the New York Times.
The report says that these accusations can explain why Elon Musk rarely speaks of his father.
He also noted that some of Musk’s family members have communicated with him in search of help, which led him to intervene sometimes.
Errol Musk denied the statements, telling the times that they were not “meaningless” and “false.”
Citing personal letters, emails and interviews with relatives, The Times said that Errol Musk, who has at least nine children and steps and has married three times, “maintains a powerful grip on much of the family.” Elon Musk did not respond to requests for comments.
Judicial documents, correspondence, social workers and family interviews suggest that the earliest accusation arrived in 1993, when a four -year -old stepdaughter told Family members Errol Musk had touched her in the family home.
About ten years later, the same stepdaughter claimed that he caught him sniffing his underwear, The Times reported. Other family members have also accused him of abusing two daughters and a stepson.
Three separate law investigations were opened, said The Times, citing the police and judicial records. Two cases ended without action, while the third party is not clear.
“There was no evidence because this makes no sense,” Errol Musk told Times. He said that family members were “putting children to say false things” in an attempt to extort Elon, his eldest son.
Elon Musk has talked little about his father, but has described a tense relationship. In a 2017 Rolling Stone interview, he said his father had done “almost all the evil things you might think.”
Musk remembered having lived with his father at 10 years while his brothers Kimbal and Tosca stayed with his mother.
“I felt sorry for my father, because my mother had the three children. It seemed very sad and alone. So I thought, ‘I can be a company,” Musk said.
He added: “I really didn’t understand what kind of person it was … it wasn’t a good idea.”
Without offering details, he told the publication: “My father will have a carefully thought plan of evil. He will plan evil.”
