A young man, suspected of having been electrocuted while attempting to cut the wires of a transformer, was found dead in the early hours of Friday along Trademore Road, Lugbe, in Abuja.
The body of the deceased was seen crouching, lifeless and rigid, with indications that he was trapped when the electricity was restored.
It should be noted that on Thursday night there was no electricity supply in the area.

When Saturday Tribune reached the spot, a crowd had gathered, people were shooting at the deceased and lamenting the activities of vandals in different areas of the FCT.
A resident of Iddo Seriki area along Airport Road, Rasheed Ogunyemi, who was also at the scene, told Saturday Tribune that he and others had been frequently contributing money to repair the transformer used in their area as vandals always returned to cut its cables after every repair.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident and stated that the body had been evacuated from the spot and shifted to a mortuary in Gwagwalada for an autopsy..
