The Federal Government has approved the promotion of 95 senior management officers of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCOS), the Nigeria immigration service (NIS), the Federal Firefighters Service (FFS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).
The promotion crosses the rows of controllers/backgrounds/commanders for controllers/controllers/general commanders for the four services.
The Secretary of the Board, Major Gen. Am Jibril (RTD), announced this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
The breakdown of the officers promoted in the four paramilitary agencies under the Ministry of Interior is as follows: Nigeria Correctional Service (NCOS): Four general drivers generals for generals of attachment controllers (ACG -DCG); 31 CC – ACG. The Nigeria immigration service (NIS) has six ACG – DCG and 20 CC – ACG.
Federal Fire Service (FFS): three ACG – DCG and two CC – ACG. Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC): three ACG – DCG and 22 cc – ACG.
Jibril revealed that other decisions taken at the meeting of the Board of 25 of 25 years included consideration and approval to establish a committee to develop a harmonized service scheme for the four services.
“The Board also considered and made decisions about two hundred and twenty -four (224) disciplinary cases of wandering officers in the four services. Decisions varied from dismissal, mandatory retirement, the rejection of the appeal against dismissal, exemption, the issuance of warning letters and the loss of seniority.
The breakdown of the cases considered is presented as follows: ncos 143; Nis 31; FFS 4; and NSCDC 46.
According to the statement, the Board considered its recruitment process in the four services, as well as in the Secretariat of the Board, for which online applications would begin from Monday, July 14, 2025.
“Applicants are urged to distrust the activities of the scammers, since the process would be perfect and transparent in line with the renewed agenda of hope of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The Board also considered and approved the timeline for the 2025 promotion exercise, which would begin in August and end in November 2025.
The Secretary of the Board, Major Gen. Am Jibril (RTD), announced this on behalf of the president of the Board, Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on July 11, 2025 in the Board Secretariat.
The secretary congratulated all the officers promoted, indicating that who is given a lot, is expected a lot. He urged them to bring their wealth of knowledge to support their various duties assigned, ”added the statement.
