The Federal Government is ready to establish an anti-disturbation unit (mobile police) and build 20 police barracks blocks in the Guri local government area of the Jigawa state.

This was revealed by the senator that represents the senatorial district of the Northeast of Jigawa, Senator Abdulhamid Ahmed, while heading to the people of the local government area of Guri during the commitment program of citizens of the state of the state of Jigawa (JSgcep), labeling Gwamnati da Jama'a, in the city of Guri, the headquarters of the local government area.

Senator Abdulhamid Ahmed also declared that the federal government, in collaboration with the state of Jigawa, would build a single -plant police station, fully equipped with modern security facilities, at the headquarters of the local government.

According to the senator, “this is part of the collaboration efforts of federal and state governments to ensure adequate and lasting security, particularly between Fulani shepherds and farmers in the area and beyond.”

He explained: “Being one of the most fertile areas with vast cultivable land, Guri has three agricultural seasons throughout the year: two irrigation seasons and a rainy season annually.”

“The area is also blessed with bushes and surrounding forests that accommodate indigenous Fulani shepherds, while attracting foreign shepherds with a large number of cattle, a situation that has led to crises and conflicts between farmers and Fulani shepherds.”

Senator Ahmed said: “In the past, this area suffered greatly due to conflicts between farmers and Fulani pastors, but from the current administration of Governor Malam Umar Namadi, numerous plans, policies and strategies have been introduced to ensure that all parties receive their rights and privileges to the plenary, promoting peace and unity in the area.”

“With respect to the Federal Government, it will also fulfill its constitutional responsibilities through my efforts. Some projects fall into my constituency projects, while others are special projects that I have advocated together with Governor Malam Umar Namadi.”

The senator also declared: “I am pleased to inform him that on the 9th of this month, that is, on Friday, the work will begin under one of my electoral projects on the construction of a modern stadium here in the city of Guri.”

“A large visual screen will be installed in the stadium, similar to those of the main cities, which allows viewers to see live soccer matches in the stadium. The stadium will also have advanced technology that allows people to see national and international football matches, such as Europeans and other leagues, through cable satellite broadcasts, offering young people and interested people to older people an opportunity to relax and enjoy experience.” “

He stressed that this project aims to create recreational and pleasant activities for social entertainment meetings and enjoyment.

The senator said that in less than two years of his mandate, he has assured white collar work for more than 40 young people in the area of the local government of Guri in the police force, military, immigration and customs services. “Among them is a law graduate who now serves exceptionally well in the Police Services Commission,” he added.

“He urges everyone to maintain peace and comply with the law. In addition, he doubles his support for the congress of all progressives (APC), President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to Governor Malam Umar Namadi and me in 2027 to guarantee more human and infrastructural projects and programs.”
