The Federal Government says that the elimination of the subsidy by the administration of President Bola Tinubu has released national resources for infrastructure, education, medical care and employment creation.
The Minister of National Information and Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, revealed this during a awareness campaign with the “Bola Ahmed Tinubu-lidente half of the period in Minna, capital of the state of Niger on Wednesday.
Idris, who was represented by the head of the Federal Center for Information Resources, Minna, Dr. Asabe Sule-Gaba, said: “The administration of Tinubu took the elimination of the subsidy decision, which has allowed the government to redirect funds towards critical infrastructure projects, social services and economic stability initiative.”

“These difficult but necessary decisions have released national resources for infrastructure, education, health and job creation,” he said.
Idris said that the renewed hope agenda was a key component of the Tinubu administration policies and emphasized the importance of the participation and participation of citizens in their policies and programs.
He urged citizens to stay informed so as not to hold the leaders alone, but also to support the policies that are really in the national interest.

Also speaking, the federal works controller in Niger, Mr. Eyitayo Aluko, said the Federal Ministry of Works had carried out historical achievements in the state, including the construction of Minna-Zungeru-Tegina Road, Tegina-Kontagora Road and Stowe Duization of the Ilorin-Jebba-Mokwa Road.
Aluko, represented by the chief engineer of the Ministry in the state of Niger, MR. Felix Thomas said that the projects aimed to improve the infrastructure of the State and facilitate the movement of goods and services from the northern part of the country.
In addition, the state coordinator, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Malem Suleiman Ladan, said that the Ministry also initiated projects in the State, including irrigation facilities, commercial structures and research interventions, among others.
Ladan, represented by Sani Abdullahi, said that the projects aimed to improve agricultural productivity and create jobs for Nigerians, saying that the Ministry distributed emergency relief materials to internal displacement camps and farmers in the state of Niger.
“We distribute rice to 6,000 officials in the state of Niger, including 1,200 federal officials and 4,800 state officials and private sector workers,” he said.
Participants in the awareness program include, women in the market, mechanics, merchants, NGOs and people living with disabilities.
